Greater Omaha Young Professionals Survey

In an effort to better understand Omaha's young professional community, the Young Professionals have conducted two surveys.

In 2004, nearly 4,000 young professionals helped the Young Professionals replace assumptions about this demographic and gather data to help guide the actions and objectives of the Council's work.

2004 Young Professionals Survey

In 2008, Young Professionals participated in the nationally based Global Impact Survey conducted by Next Generation Consulting. This survey measures perceptions young professionals have about Greater Omaha's cost of lifestyle, vitality, earnings, after hours, ease of getting around town, social capital and learning.

The survey data provided Greater Omaha businesses and community organizations with the tools to plan for ways to engage young professionals more effectively. It also provided information to compare the Greater Omaha community with other cities throughout the United States.
